"Your thoughts create your reality".... or do they?

Let's talk about one of our key phrases: "Your thoughts create your reality."

In the Science of Mind philosophy, we believe in the creative power of the mind. This concept is rooted in the idea that our thoughts are energetic forces that shape the experiences we have in life. What we focus on, believe, and consistently think about, we attract into our lives. This doesn't mean that we simply have to think a thought and it pops out into our reality... the universe is not a vending machine. Rather, it is knowing we have the ability to shape our perspective about what is happening around us, and in doing so, we can follow our intuition, allowing it to guide us on the paths that are most supportive of where we would like to go in life.

Understanding the profound impact of our perspective on our reality empowers us to make proactive decisions in our lives. When we become conscious of the thoughts we entertain and the beliefs we hold, we can begin to intentionally choose to cultivate a positive and constructive mindset. This doesn't mean ignoring life's challenges or being in a constant state of positivity. Instead, it is about approaching life with resilience, clarity, and a fresh attitude.

If we constantly dwell on negative thoughts, fears, and limitations, we inadvertently create a reality that reflects those mental patterns. For instance, if you believe you are not good enough to achieve your dreams, you may subconsciously sabotage opportunities and blessings that are right in front of you, simply because you don't notice them. On the other hand, when you cultivate self-belief, visualize success, and take inspired action, you are more likely to create positive outcomes simply by becoming increasingly aware of the gifts that life has to offer.

It is essential to understand that this principle isn't about wishful thinking or simply hoping for things to happen. Instead, it is about aligning your thoughts, emotions, and actions in harmony with your goals and desires. By doing so, you send out a clear and powerful message to the universe and yourself, opening yourself to what life is naturally giving as the loving, generous, and supportive consciousness that it is.

There are an infinite number of practices that you can use to begin to harness the creative power of your mind including:

Mindfulness and Self-awareness: Embrace your inner skeptic and give your pessimistic thoughts a little side-eye. Take a moment to observe your negative thinking patterns without judgment. Just being aware of them can help you navigate through the pessimism maze

Visualization: Alright, I know the whole "imagine your dream life" thing may sound like fluffy unicorn stuff, but bear with me. Think of it as a mental escape room. Close your eyes and let your imagination run wild. Picture yourself in situations that make you genuinely happy, even if it feels a bit silly at first. It's like a mini vacation for your mind!

Affirmations: Now, I'm not asking you to plaster a fake smile on your face and chant positive mantras all day long. Let's keep it real. Find a few simple statements that resonate with you, like "I'm doing the best I can" or "I've survived tough times before." Repeat them quietly to yourself when you need a reminder that you're stronger than you think.

Denials: When everything feels like it is going wrong and you can't seem to shift your thinking toward the positive, use denials, acknowledging the negative experiences without giving them power. You're basically KonMari-ing your mind!! Bonus: Have you tried swearing? It may help too :-)

Gratitude: I get it—finding the silver lining can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. But how about we start small? Take a moment each day to acknowledge one thing, just one tiny thing, that didn't totally suck. It could be a good cup of coffee or a funny meme you stumbled upon. The little wins count too!

Action: Okay, here's the deal. Taking action doesn't have to mean transforming into a relentlessly positive cheerleader. Start with baby steps. Pick one thing, just one small thing, that you genuinely want to change or improve. Then break it down into manageable chunks and tackle it at your own pace. Remember, progress, no matter how slow, is still progress.

Remember, creating a good life is not about control or forcing outcomes. It is about realizing the power within you and aligning yourself with the natural flow of life. As you become the conscious co-creator of your reality, you will find greater fulfillment, joy, and a deeper sense of purpose in your life's journey. Embrace this powerful truth and watch your life transform.
